Challenge Schwarzenegger

It’s the one thing that makes girls swoon the world over – well-defined biceps and pectorals. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to flaunt bulging biceps like those of Salman and Hrithik? How about bagging prizes like Mr Universe? Or maybe having girls vying for your attention? In your dreams, did you say? It doesn’t have to be.

Here are a few secrets:

Eat more protein: Proteins are the building blocks for muscles. Therefore an intake of proteins in sufficient quantities is essential to ensure there’s enough to increase muscle mass and for the body’s essential activities. So make sure you eat plenty of protein-rich foods like eggs, milk, and meat. Remember the best form of protein is obtained from animal products as they contain essential amino acids. On the other hand, plant proteins do not contain all the essential proteins. Alternatively, you can drink protein shakes or take supplements to meet your daily protein requirement.

Train heavy with weights:

Weight training or resistance training works by exerting pressure on your muscles. Weight training exercises are of two types: compound exercises and isolation exercises. Compound exercises work by using multiple muscles in the body. The most effective compound exercises are bench press, squats, lunges, and shoulder press. On the other hand, isolation exercises work on the specific muscle. Concentrate more on compound exercises. (Source: American Fitness Magazine, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America).

Take sufficient rest: Contrary to popular belief, muscles grow not in the gym but when you are resting. Ensure you get sufficient rest and get at least 8 hours of sleep
(Source: Flex magazine).

Eat smaller meals throughout the day:

Instead of eating 3 heavy meals in a day, eat 7-8 smaller meals throughout the day. This will prevent you from overeating. Overeating causes you to put on layers of fat, which can mask your muscles. Besides, frequent meals will keep your blood sugar levels in control and provide your muscles with adequate amounts of protein
(Source: Muscle and Strength).

Have you succeeded in building up big muscles? How did you do it? What are some favorite exercises that have helped you develop those muscles? Did you try ‘nocturnal protein shake routines’? Share your story here. leave ur story in the comment...

Linux vs. Windows

I’ve always wanted to know how hackers crack the password. I found many cracking software in the internet that cracked Windows password. I always wondered how it is done; my junior at college S A G Arun, a Linux Enthusiast told me how those crackers work. Click here to know more from his blog.

He told that in Xp, cracking the password is easy and in Vista it is little difficult, Vista password can also be cracked.

He said that in Linux there is no such problem, we can customize the Os according to our wish and we can make is secure. Is this means Linux is better than Vista and Xp? Linux may be strong in security, but windows is for laymen and those rookies in computer. But when u want total control go for Linux.

I am switching to linux

Planet Mechanics

Dick Strawbridge and Jem Stansfield are engineers with an eye on the environment. Their mission: to Fix the World. This brand new series pits engineering ingenuity and innovation against our planet's most pressing environmental problems.

Over the series, our modern day maverick inventors make the world's first street legal compressed air powered motorbike, capture tidal energy on Ireland's rugged Atlantic coast, build a giant biogas plant to turn farm waste into green power, harness solar power in Andalucia - the frying pan of Spain, and help out Venice's pollution problems by building a solar powered water taxi.

They criss-cross Europe in their mobile workshop - a self-converted horsebox. Running on biodiesel, it gets its electrical juice from a sun-tracking photovoltaic cell and wind turbine, and where once the truck transported horses it's now the best equipped mobile eco-workshop you could ask for.

Drawing on Dick's career as a British Army Lieutenant Colonel and Jem's experience as a designer, inventor and aeronautical engineer, they build unusual, innovative machines to combat different environmental problems. Although acting locally they are thinking globally, their engineering solutions show how we can all do our bit to help the out the environment.

Each week, Dick and Jem are called in to address a pressing environmental issue. Once they've investigated the problem, they pool their collective brain power and design a green solution. Recruiting leading experts and members of local community, they set to work with their angle grinders, welding kit and an insurmountable collection of power tools to craft some of the most striking machines ever to grace the small screen.

India faces major energy crisis due to Crude oil

India faces more problems that just need for reliable energy supply. Even if the Government is able to acquire rights to Natural gas and Crude oil supplies all around the world, the problem does not end there.

India faces a major shortage of refining capacity. As a result prices of diesel, Petrol and Kerosene can go through the roof even if the Crude oil price moves up slowly.

The refineries all around India are old and mainly acquired from the Soviet Union many tears back. They need to be replaced soon. They operate at a much lower capacity die to maintenance needs and cause bad pollution all around.

The refinery owned and operated by Reliance is the only one in the country that is of world class standard and is sophisticated. It was operational approximately 22 months back and is based on most advanced technologies in the world.

The rest of the 18 refineries are in hopeless condition. Some of those India’s refineries cannot get rid of the high sulphur content to produce what is internationally known as sweet crude. Many of the refineries cannot effectively extract Kerosene through the secondary process, Kerosene is high demand since it lights up many homes sin India.

Seven of these prehistoric 18 refineries can be modernized. But red tape and lack of operational control is taking the country to the brink of a major energy crisis.

Raghunath Mashelkar, scientific adviser to the government recently submitted a report on the status of the refineries to the Government. Inadia’s 115m-tonne refining capacity needs some major capital investment, The report clearly mentions about the need of “substantial capital funding” to upgrade or overhaul processes to meet global standards on quality petrol and diesel fuels.

India needs US $6.5 Billion to upgrade these refineries to meet the Euro IV standard of emission by 2010. Stepping up to Euro III emission standards will also require hardship as required by next April.

According to the New Delhi-based Energy and Resources Institute (Teri), fiscal incentive are required from the Government to move forward towards this capital investment.

Brown Paper Bag: Recycle This

Occasionally you go into a store and buy a little something. A really little something. You know all the smart boutiques where they don’t waste money having logos and store names printed on small bags, they simply hand you that one-of-a-kind bamboo bracelet in a discreet, unassuming brown paper bag. Here are ten great ways to make re-use of that bag:

1. Pack your lunch to-go. There was a time when this bag was the go-to staple for packing kids’ school lunches. Now we’re not so wasteful! But when you come along one, you might as well use it for the old standby. Pack that PB&J, throw in an apple and you’re on your way!

2. Use it to prevent dust from forming on your drying herbs. Simply poke a hole in the bottom of the bag, use string to gather your herbs, tying the string off and pulling it through the hole in the bag. Attach the string to a hanger or tie it directly to whatever you are hanging the drying herbs from.

3. Decorate them and use them for gift bags. This is especially fun for gift exchanges between kids. If you are taking your child to a birthday party, let her decorate the bag for her friend. This is a great way to personalize the gift and teach your child about the purpose of “giving.” When done with love, even a paper bag can be a treasure. Awww…

4. While grocery-sized bags make better book covers for large books, you can still use small brown paper bags to cover smaller books whose covers you want to preserve.

5. Make luminaries, little candle lanterns made from small paper bags that line a walkway or driveway. Find directions on how to make luminaries on eHow.com.

6. Paper bag puppets are an easy fun craft any parent can do (even those parents who claim no crafty gene). Pick from frogs, lions, giraffes and more. If your child has a favorite animal, learn how to make that animal into the paper bag puppet of his dreams!

7. Cut shapes from the bag, decorate them and use them as gift tags.

8. Ripen tomatoes and bananas. If you buy or pick your fruit before it’s ripe, put the tomatoes or bananas in a paper bag. Roll down the top and place them in a cool, dry area. Be sure to check them every couple days. Within a week, the tomatoes will turn bright red and will have ripened, the bananas will have gone from green to yellow.

9. If you want to save seeds from this year’s vegetable garden, allow your chosen veggies to flower and set seed. Harvest seed on a mild, dry day when the seed is fully ripe. If seed is slightly damp then dry overnight at room temperature. Store seeds in small paper bags contained in a larger plastic bag in the refrigerator and sow the following spring (depending on what species it is). Seed will keep in the fridge for several years.

10. Make popcorn: Put one quarter cup popcorn in a brown paper bag, roll the top down, and place it in a low wattage microwave. Make sure the bag doesn't touch the sides of the microwave. Cook for two and a half minutes, or until popping stops.
